Our classes provide a safe space for our students to express themselves in a judgement-free zone. There are both poetry performances and introspective writing exercises in each class. We lead open discussions, encourage emotional connections and allow reflective time.
We customize our workshops to fit your needs ranging from one day to sixteen weeks. Most commonly for our youth we hold a weekly 90-minute workshop lasting eight or sixteen weeks.
The eight week includes:
The sixteen week revisits topics such as:
And includes additional topics such as:
Our organization focuses on young ladies ages 12 to 21. Established in 2014, we have reached thousands of youth in Wisconsin and beyond using poetry performances and writing exercises to address various traumas, challenges and issues that all too often distract our youth from becoming their best selves. We focus on similarities more than differences. We encourage all of our students to share their stories, find their voice and be heard in a positive way. We offer a way to stay connected through our Incentive Programs which include our Mother-Daughter Pajama Party, Dream Big Spa Day and our F.I.R.E. Awards (Females In Recognition of Excellence).
Sistahood is priceless
Intertwined like furious lions
Stick together in cold, cold weather
Like mismatched socks and matching sweaters
Even though we're different we're going down the same path together
Through whatever, the bond we have sticks forever and ever
I will be there for my sister through any pressure
Our Love can never be measured
Crazy rainy days are like blinding sun rays
No matter how she falls I will always give her praise
We raise our children up to grow strong like a lion's mane
Some days life tries to drive us insane
But it's efforts are in vain
My sista's I'll never blame
We stick together through our pain
Love and respect for all women has changed the game!
