WHAT IS THE F.I.R.E. AWARDS
The Event
This red carpet event is designed to bring the Milwaukee community together to celebrate the amazing work being done by women, young and seasoned, in the following categories: ARTS, ENTREPRENEURSHIP, IMAGE, COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, PERSEVERANCE and SISTAHOOD. We will honor one youth and one adult in each category. The purpose is to bridge the gap between youth and adult trailblazers and to inspire others as the honorees share their journey of stage. This is a red carpet event that provides an experience that many in our community, especially our youth, haven’t had.
Nominate women on F.I.R.E.
Do you know someone who deserves to be recognized for the tireless work they do in the community (COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT)? Maybe a young lady who is using her gift of dance, drawing, acting, etc. to make her mark in Milwaukee (ART) ? Have you met someone who shared their story of overcoming the many obstacles they faced and turned tragedy into triumph (PERSEVERANCE) ? These are a few examples of our former honorees. How can I support
There are many ways to support this community event.
- There are student sponsorship and business sponsorship opportunities available.
- Donate formal dresses and accessories for our MSK youth who attend. Dresses are provided to them at no cost.
- There are volunteer opportunities available for set up and break down.
- There are volunteer opportunities to contact our students.
