What Kept Me

Tina “MsJazzi” Nixon is a spoken word performer in Milwaukee. She heads a new program called My SISTA’s KeepHer, which uses both poetry and creative writing to get girls to talk about their pain, struggles and dreams. In this video Nixon talks about the program and recites her poem, “What Kept Me.”

So recently there was an article written about My Sista’s KeepHer by the Milwaukee Journal. It was really nice to see us get the coverage. What the article didn’t mention was that we serve ALL girls.
